WHO ARE WE? ...
  • A diverse group of people who love to run and meet in the spirit of fun, good health and friendship.
  • Some of us are very slow, a few are very fast and most are somewhere in between - we cater to all.
  • Some of us race and many do not.
  • An officially sanctioned running club by the Vancouver Island Runners Association (VIRA).

WHAT DO WE OFFER?
  • Scheduled weekly trail or road runs of varying distances at paces to suit everyone.
  • Runs to improve speed and strength.

  • Trails and roads in the beautiful Parksville / Qualicum Beach area with occasional forays elsewhere on Vancouver Island.

Learn To Run

Join Rod Bailey with the Learn-To-Run 5 km Group starting Tuesday March 27th at 6pm from Spring Wood School in Parksville.

Want to Join the Learn-to-Run group but not sure if this is the group for you?

The program starts you walking with short runs of about a minute or two then gradually decrease the walk time while increasing the run time over a set period of time. by the end of the program you will be able to run for the period of time at a pace that is comfortable for you.

Join ORCA's Facebook Group

Team ORCA has designed a Facebook Group to encourage the membership to communicate freely amongst other members and the group. This is a place where you can ask questions, share ideas, find a running partner to train with, share photos, schedule a run out side of the group activities, arrange car pools and more.

Team ORCA's Group activities and events will also be posted here

Please encourage your fellow runners to join ORCA's Facebook Group page so they too can participate in the sharing of ideas and information and are not left behind as we take this step forward into the future.
