Saturday Trail Runs and Walks

Description: 12495074_1057314560976766_7753296415890737304_nSaturday trail runs and walks start at 8:00 a.m. These runs/walks are fun and the pace is easy. Come out and explore the local trails. May include mud! The usual distance is between 5k and 12k.


We wait at each fork in the trail until all group members meet up and have time to catch their breath.
This will allow each participant to enjoy a pleasurable and safe pace on the trail. No one will be left behind.
This is an awesome way to get out in nature and familiarize yourself with some beautiful trails!

Level: All levels of running and walking pace – depending on the group. It does help to have some experience as a hiker before you embark on trail running. The trails can be rooted, rocky, muddy, and sometimes steep.
Location: ┬áVarious trails throughout the Oceanside Region: Rathtrevor, Top Bridge, Englishman River Falls, Qualicum Beach, Little Mountain – to name a few. The group will most often meet at the same location as the same Saturday Run Group, however, there may be times when the trail group will run on lovely trails elsewhere.

If you are an ORCA member, an email and/or a Facebook post will be sent out with the meeting location and run/walk details beforehand. Meet at 8:00 a.m. unless indicated otherwise. Find weekly route details on the Saturday Morning Road and Trail Run/Walk Route Information.

Sunday Trail Runs

Description: Currently there are no Sunday Trail Runs. However, if there are ORCA members who would like to lead a fun Sunday trail outing, they are encouraged to do so. These runs will be posted on Facebook.
