Registration for the Oceanside Mother’s Day 10k/5k on May 12, 2019 will be announced soon.
Whether you want to run, walk, or volunteer…
Stay tuned for 2019 details
Course Description: The 10k route is for competitive or recreational runners only (no walkers, no strollers or baby joggers–these are welcome for the 5k only). It is a BC Athletics certified course BC-2014-034-BDC making it attractive for competitors seeking a personal best time or 10k certification.
The 5k run/walk route is a loop on road and some trail along the Englishman River Estuary. This is the course to choose if you are pushing a stroller or baby jogger and if you prefer to walk. If it has been raining heavily before the event, expect some muddy patches!
Bling: Awesome technical t-shirts are given to the first 80 volunteers and most will also receive draw prizes! Long-stemmed carnations are given to each of the first 240 female finishers in honour of Mother’s Day.
It’s All for a Great Cause: The Oceanside Running Cub Association (ORCA) is pleased to be supporting Parksville Qualicum Haven House operated by the Haven Society with part proceeds from the race going to this local worthy charity as well as others in our community. Donations are kindly accepted and can be made during the registration process.
